We process the personal data of our customers and visitors only to the extent necessary to provide the shop, to perform a contract, or due to statutory obligations, or where you have given your consent. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(a) (consent), (b) (contract), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.
This online shop is operated via the platform of Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1–2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland. When you access the shop, Shopify processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, browser type, referrer) in server log files; without this data the shop cannot be provided (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Shopify may also transfer data to group companies outside the EU (including Shopify Inc., Canada; USA). For Canada, an adequacy decision by the EU Commission is in place; otherwise, transfers take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Details: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
To process your order, we process the data you provide (name, address, email address, phone number, payment and delivery data) on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Statutory commercial and tax retention obligations (6 or 8 years) remain unaffected. You may have your customer account deleted at any time.
Depending on the payment method you choose, your payment data is transmitted to the relevant payment service provider (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):
- PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg. Privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
- Credit card payments are processed via the payment processor named during checkout.
- For advance payment and purchase on account, we receive your payment data via our bank.
For delivery, we pass on your name, delivery address and – where required for delivery or advance notice of a delivery appointment – your phone number or email address to the transport or freight company commissioned (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
For enquiries by email or contact form, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and no retention obligations apply.
The shop uses technically necessary cookies (e.g. shopping basket, log-in) that are required for its operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) TDDDG). We use optional cookies and comparable technologies (e.g. statistics, marketing) only with your consent given via the cookie notice (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG); you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
You have the following rights with respect to personal data concerning you:

- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Our pages embed videos from robot manufacturers using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Videos are only loaded when you click “play” or “watch”. Your browser then connects to Google's servers and transmits, among other things, your IP address; YouTube may store information on your device, and a transfer to the USA is possible (Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). On the “Droids” page we remember your choice in your browser's local storage (entry “xtr_yt”) so that videos start automatically and muted on your next visit. You can withdraw your choice at any time with the close symbol (×) on the video; the entry is then deleted. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.
